Union education and learning minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday claimed that pupils will have the alternative of sitting for 10th and 12th class board assessments two times a year beginning with the scholastic session 2025-26. Pradhan stated that the plan intends to decrease scholastic anxiety and lines up with the goals described in the National Education Policy (NEP) introduced in 2020.

He underscored that the NEP 2020 envisages biannual board examinations to supply pupils with enough opportunities to stand out academically.

According to the New Curriculum Structure (NCF) announced by the ministry of education in August in 2015, board exams will certainly be held at the very least twice a year to make sure pupils have enough time and possibility to perform well. Pradhan was speaking at the launch of the PM SHRI (Head Of State Schools for Climbing India) scheme in Chhattisgarh. Under the first stage of the system, 211 colleges in the state will be upgraded on a ‘hub and spoke’ design by investing 2 crore on each of them, he stated.
