Patanjali Foods shares slip 4%; company states SC order on Patanjali Ayurved’s advertisements unrelated

Patanjali Foods share price: Today’s drop in the supply cost came after the Supreme Court disallowed Patanjali Ayurved from releasing advertisements for its typical ayurvedic medications that declare to treat some illness.

Shares of Patanjali Foods dropped 3.91 per cent in Wednesday’s trade to hit a small cost of Rs 1,556.80. Today’s decrease in the stock price followed the Supreme Court barred Patanjali Ayurved from publishing ads for its standard ayurvedic medications that claim to cure some diseases. Patanjali Foods (formerly called Ruchi Soya) is a part of Patanjali Ayurved, co-founded by yoga teacher Ramdev.

The leading court’s order was issued in a continuous legal dispute with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), which has actually accused Patanjali of supposedly defaming other kinds of standard medicines.

The court stated Patanjali violated its guarantee to courts in 2015 in the recurring situation that it would certainly not publish promotions that make “informal declarations asserting medicinal efficacy”.

Patanjali Foods, in a BSE declaring, stated that the SC order does not associate with it. “The observations of Hon’ ble Supreme Court of India do not relate to Patanjali Foods Ltd which is an independent recognized entity and operates in the area of edible oil and food FMCG items just.”

The observations don’t have any pounding on the regular company procedures or the financial performance of the FMCG business, it included.

At today’s small cost of Rs 1,556.80, Patanjali Foods’ supply was down 10.58 per cent from its one-year high cost of Rs 1,741, a level seen earlier this month on February 16.

” Fresh acquiring is not advisable at the present market price. Those holding must maintain a stringent quit loss positioned at Rs 1,500 level,” Kiran Jani, Head of Technical Research at Jainam Broking.

As of December 2023 quarter, marketers held 73.82 per cent stake in the company.
